My father used to send me postcards from everywhere he went on business, when he worked as export marketing director for Gillette in the 1970s and early 1980s. Here's a few scans.

.

Postcard described as "khulm scene – Afghanistan", dated 5 September 1977. No photographer credited.

.

Postcard of the Wapda House with monument, Lahore, Pakistan, dated 2 March 1984. Photo by Ramzaan.

.

Postcard of a bazaar in Tehran, Iran, dated 9 September 1977. Amongst the cushions and rugs you can see four portraits of John F. Kennedy. No photographer credited.

.

Typical postcard of the Pyramids and Sphinx with an over-saturated fake sky dropped into the background, sent 11 May 1985. No photographer credited.

.

Postcard of snake charmers in Morocco, sent sometime in 1969. No photographer credited.

.

Postcard from the Ivory Coast, sent 23 February 1978. Photo by J.C. Nouralt.

.

Postcard of the creek of Dubai with dhows, again with an unrealistic sky dropped in. Sent sometime in summer 1976, I remember it still looking something like this in 1987 although now, in 2009, the creek has been transformed completely. Photo by Basem Said Salah.
