The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, 2008, USA   DIRECTED BY DAVID FINCHER
I'm familiar with F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story of a life lived backwards in time so I was curious to see how this would be done on film. On one level I liked the many grafted-on threads that added meat to a story that was too thin to be filmed as it was written, on another level it was something of a disappointment how it became a rather unconvincing vehicle for Brad Pitt (his third film with director David Fincher), who just got increasingly annoying as Button entered his twenties and teens. But Fincher has thankfully come a long way since Alien 3.
